The owners of this home wanted their basement waterproofed so they could stop having to smell musty odors, and so they could stop having to clean their basement every time it rained heavily. We installed WaterGuard drains under the floors of the perimeter of the basement in order to be able to effectively catch any water that leaks up from the floors and walls. We then hooked the drains to a SuperSump Plus sump pump, and installed CleanSpace walls all around the basement to be able to help drain water coming off the walls into the WaterGuard. The CleanSpace also brightens the basement and gives it a clean look.
The gap seen in the before picture between the 1st and 2nd step was an issue for this homeowner, and they wanted it fixed. You see, a gap like this usually means that there is some settling occurring under your concrete slabs. If the settling is too extreme and reaches a certain threshold, your slabs could crack from imbalanced support. The gap seen in the pictures can also invite rain water under your slabs, further accelerating the settling process.
We fixed all these problems by:
1. Leveling the slabs by raising parts with PolyLevel foam injections.
2. Sealing the gaps and cracks with our concrete sealant.
This crawlspace was having an environmental issue because dirt, mold, and moisture were seeping in. The problem was their thin liner and their old, weak sump pump. We replaced their sump pump with our state of the art TripleSafe sump pump. We also replaced the liner with our thick, strong, pretty Clean Space material. The result is a healthy crawl space that will last a long time.
This home had a bowing wall and water leaking issues. These two problems are commonly seen paired together and so we used the common two solutions. First, we installed WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump to deal with the water issues. We then installed PowerBraces on the bowed wall to ensure that the wall does not move horizontally anymore. We also installed discharge lines with LawnScape outlets and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier as great compliments to the waterproof system.
This homeowner was tired of two things with their old sump pump.
1. It wasn't moisture sealed.
2. It wasn't strong enough.
These two problems resulted in musty odors in their home.
We replaced their old sump pump with our TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump not only has a moisture sealed lid, it is also super powerful. Packed with a main pump, a secondary pump, and a battery backed pump, the TripleSafe is safe against power outages and massive water intakes.
