This crawl space was just over two feet, and although short in stature, the lumber parts had rotted to the point of no return. You can see in the before picture just how nasty it had become from moisture issues. After replacing the lumber parts to maintain the integrity of the structure, we then encapsulated the crawl space to prevent the new wooden parts from falling victim to the same fate. Seen in the after picture is a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, a SmartSump sump pump attached with an UltraSump 4 battery backup, CleanSpace Liner, and SilverGlo insulation panels tucked behind the CleanSpace. This crawl space won't have to worry about further deterioration from moisture issues for a very long time.
This crawl space was a mess with a lot of moisture issues. The moisture issues were causing a foul smell and were deteriorating the crawl space slowly. We installed our Clean Space matting and drainage all over the entire crawl space. We also installed a SuperSump sump pump and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to eliminate all wetness in the crawl space. We also sprayed anabec mold cleaner all over the crawl space before we started the install.
We installed a basement egress window this particular basement. The RockWell window well looks natural and is very practical for outdoor basement access.
This huge crawl space located in Loveland, OH was cold, dark, and wet. In order to make it warm, dry, and bright we encapsulated it for the homeowner! We started by installing our SilverGlo foam insulation panels all over the walls. We then waterproofed the crawl space by installing perforated pipes in trenches all around the perimeter. The drainage pipes were connected to a SmartSump sump pump, which we installed in the lowest corner of the crawl space. We then installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier all over the floor and up the walls of the crawl space in order to isolate the crawl space from the earth. The vapor barrier also brightens the crawl space thanks to its white reflective color. We then installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to make sure this ginormous space stays dry 24/7. The result of this project made the homeowners very happy, knowing their homes foundation is protected for the future.
Moisture in your crawl space can completely incapacitate your insulation. Moisture can also eat away at your wooden parts of your crawl space if not eliminated. When we encapsulated this crawl space with our CleanSpace barrier and our SilverGlo insulation, the moisture was eliminated and the insulation capacity was increased significantly.
