Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

This crawl space renovation project in Lebanon, OH we completed in December of 2024 displays just how dramatic of a change a proper crawl space encapsulation job can be. The existing crawl space had a thin layer of plastic on the floor of the crawl space, and as we all know, it did not do good enough of a job to keep moisture out. We started this project by installing a waterproofing system powered by underground perforated pipes, our SmartSump sump pump, and a battery backup system. We then separated the crawl space away from the earth by installing our patented CleanSpace vapor barrier all across the floor and up the walls of the crawl space. Next, we installed our dehumidification system, which is completely automatic and energy efficient. We finished the project by replacing their existing access door with our Turtl door, which is air-tight. The result is a completely dry crawl space and a couple of happy homeowners. 

Many homes in our area have both a crawl space and a basement, as was the case for this project in Germantown, OH. The homeowners were frustrated with their 2.5-foot crawl space, which was musty and emitting unpleasant odors. The smells were especially strong whenever they went down to the basement to do laundry, store items, or work out. Wanting a solution, they reached out to us for crawl space encapsulation.

We sent one of our inspectors for a free quote, and after reviewing the proposal, the homeowners agreed to move forward. Within a couple of weeks, we began the project.  We repaired this crawl space in Goshen, OH, by encapsulating it with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. We started by installing our SilverGlo foam insulation panels all over the walls. We then waterproofed the crawl space by installing perforated pipes in trenches all around the perimeter. The drainage pipes were connected to a SmartSump sump pump, which we installed in the lowest corner of the crawl space. We then installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier all over the floor and up the walls of the crawl space in order to isolate the crawl space from the earth. The vapor barrier also brightens the crawl space thanks to its white reflective color. We then installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to make sure this ginormous space stays dry 24/7. The result of this project made the homeowners very happy, knowing their homes foundation is protected for the future.
