This homeowner wanted an egress window in their basement because they had a teenager who wanted to build a bedroom in their basement to live in. An egress window provides safety as an emergency exit from the room as well as a great natural light source.
This customer was building an extension of the home and they had the foundation built. The customer knew they wanted to waterproof the crawl space the right way the first time. A smart investment if you ask us. We encapsulated the crawl space with our Clean Space liner and matting. We then placed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier on top of the CleanSpace for added moisture wicking support.
This home had a waterproofing problem that was a result of their old sump pump system. We repaired this basement by installing a system of our newer waterproofing products. We replaced the old sump pump with our new Ultra Sump 4, a far superior product. We hooked up WaterGuard drainage to the sump pump, under the concrete floor around the perimeter of the basement. We also installed CleanSpace walls to further help block out moisture and make the basement look cleaner.
The outside of this home had the gutter downspouts too close to the foundation of the home. We installed discharge lines to lead far away from the home to a spot where the water couldn't make its way back to the home. We also installed our LawnScape Outlet to the end of the discharge line so it looks nice in the yard and deters debris from clogging the lines.
This customer wanted a bigger window that would allow for an emergency exit if needed be. The homeowners just placed a bedroom in their basement, and in order for someone to live in that room, there needed to be an egress window that would allow for an exit.
