This large basement was having some issues with the snowy weather. The walls were also leaking a lot of cold air into the home. We installed our waterproofing system along with our Basement to Beautiful panels to fix both issues. Our Basement to Beautiful Panels cannot grow mold or hold moisture due to their inorganic materials, which makes them the perfect basement paneling option. These panels are our best option for insulating your basement. Their graphite infused material reflects heat back into the basement, and they have a 24% greater insulation value than other standard foam options. These innovative panels allow your contractor to frame the wall and insulate at the same time, and are equipped with steel studs and built-in wiring channels. The owner of this home had been living there five years when they gave us a call. They were concerned about humidity issues, as well as having to replace their furnace filter every year. You see, this dirt floor in the basement was throwing dirt and dust around everywhere, and then the furnace would throw the dirt all around the upper levels of the home. The high humidity levels were also making the furnace work twice as hard, as it's way more difficult to heat and cool humid air versus dry air. We got the job done by waterproofing the whole basement with a CleanSpace vapor barrier, drainage matting, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a SuperSump sump pump.
This basement was leaking water and was causing a moldy smell to leak above to the inhabitants of the home. We installed WaterGuard drainage, a TripleSafe sump pump, a Sedona Sani Dry Dehumidifier, and trench drains to stop the basement from leaking. We also installed CleanSpace walls to help cosmetically, as well as help drain water from the walls to the system.
On top of installing a full waterproofing system for this basement in Alexandria, Kentucky, we also installed our moisture barrier. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier is our most economical wall option, but comes with some great benefits. For one, it can channel water leaks coming from the wall into the subfloor drainage system. Secondly, it helps control the musty smells in basements, and will never grow mold thanks to its inorganic nature. Lastly, it is easily installed and looks beautiful!
This basement in California, KY, was dealing with water intrusion and a bowing foundation wall. We installed a WaterGuard drainage system and lined the walls with CleanSpace to keep moisture out and improve air quality. A sump pump (not shown) was added to handle water removal efficiently. To stabilize the bowing wall, we used PowerBraces, which stop further movement and add long-term support. Now the space is dry, protected, and structurally sound.
