This garage lintel in Cincinnati, OH, was drooping before we lifted and stabilized it with a lintel repair. A garage lintel, (the top of the garage opening) can start to droop downwards over time, causing the lintel to look like a slight grin. We lifted the lintel by installing steel beams along the inside of both walls in the opening of the garage face. We then ran a steel beam across both jacks to distribute the load. After jacking the lintel back to plum, we then covered the steel beams with a fresh trim. This trim completely concealed the steel beams. The homeowner was very happy with the outcome, and was super impressed with our crews ability to work around the garage number pad on the right side. We don't just take before and after photos for marketing purposes. We also use project photos to document what our crews should expect when they arrive, the condition of the space before work begins, and any other little tidbit our service team needs to know for future service appointments. Here, you can see the moisture staining in the basement corner before work began and the finished waterproofing system with subfloor drainage, new BriteWall panels, and a new sump pump. This basement in Cincinnati, OH, is now set for the future against water damage.
This crawl space in Cincinnati, OH, was wet, saggy, and musty. We started the repair by installing two of our steel SmartJack posts to help provide some much needed support to the sagging floor joists above. Next, we sealed the space with our drainage matting floors, our SilverGlo insulation wall panels, and our white CleanSpace vapor barrier. Lastly, we installed a dehumidification system to keep the air in the space conditioned and dry. The homeowner was very pleased with the outcome, and they immediately started moving storage boxes into the newly converted space beneath the home.
External forces like hydrostatic pressure can cause your foundation walls to cave in. No worries though, we have the solution. Our steel I-beams called PowerBraces are not your ordinary I-beams. They are coated in zinc to prevent rusting, and they can handle very strong loads. Also, they were designed to prevent damage to your floor joists, as their special brackets can be tightened to straighten the wall back out.
This basement was falling apart before we stepped in. Persistent leaks left behind stains and rusted appliances, while hydrostatic pressure pushed against the foundation, causing the walls to bow and crack. Moisture crept into the wooden floor joists, leading to damage and musty odors. Now, this basement is dry, stable, and built to last thanks to:
