This homeowner had two egress windows installed by another company in their basement, and these windows began to leak shortly after they were installed, (as evidence by the towels all over the floor in the before picture.) The dry wall became damaged and musty, so we suggested that we install a drainage system and we replace the wet drywall with our EverLast moisture proof panels. We first started by carefully cutting the drywall so we could install our drainage system. Our drainage system included of two WellDuct drains in the two egress windows, WaterGuard subfloor drains, and a SuperSump sump pump attached with our UltraSump battery backup system. This system will make sure water doesn't build up near the leaky windows. We then replaced the drywall we took out with our EverLast wall panels. Our EverLast wall panels are made of a vinyl material, and won't grow mold or get damaged from moisture. They also tuck into the drainage system, and they look great next to any type of wall. This job teaches a valuable lesson, if you are going to get egress windows installed, make sure its a company who understands how waterproofing works like us.
