Intro:

The Basement Doctor offers a variety of sump pump options. This paper is designed to give an overview of the different sumps that we offer and their features.

What is a Sump Pump?

A sump pump is used to pump water out of a "sump pit" or "sump basin." "Sump basins" are pits that have been carved into the floor of a home or basement, and collect any pooling water. The sump pump is designed to take this collected water and pump it out of the home (usually back outside).

Why do I need a Sump?

A sump is a vital and integral part of any basement waterproofing system. Along with a water collection and drainage system, the sump pump ensures that pooling water in the basement can be safely and quickly transported back outside. This will help to prevent damage to the home caused by flooding or water infiltration.

SmartSump:

The SmartSump is specifically made for crawl spaces and fits over the CleanSpace liner easily.

The SmartSump is a sump system designed specifically for use in crawl spaces. Its liner and lid are designed to create a tight seal around your CleanSpace liner - making it compatible with our crawl space encapsulation system. The SmartSump comes with a WaterWatch alarm system, which will inform you of flooding in your crawl space. This alarm will also alert you to power or pump failures. The SmartSump's two-piece lid allows for easy access. The clean pump stand keeps the pump out of the sediment and an airtight floor drain will capture water in the event of a plumbing leak.

SuperSump:

The SuperSump is one of the most popular sumps available and is very reliable.

The SuperSump is one of our most popular models. It includes the most reliable pump available with a patented SuperLiner and Airtight Lid. It is clean, efficient, and designed to prevents items or debris from falling into the sump hole. Its flat design and lid also make it possible to easily stack items on top of it, preventing basement storage space from being lost.

Pump:

This sump includes the best pump from nearly 50 models. It can pump 2,650 gallons per house and resists clogging.

WaterWatch Alarm:

The WaterWatch Alarm system sounds off if water rises above a point where the pump should turn on (this sounds similar to a smoke alarm).

SuperLiner:

The SuperLiner is a rugged, heavy-duty, and smooth polyethylene liner.

Airtight Lid:

The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating into your basement environment. It keeps out bugs, odors, and radon gas. This lid also results in a quieter pumping cycle.

TripleSafe Sump:

The TripleSafe Sump is the most reliable pumping system available and includes 3 pumps.

The TripleSafe sump is the most reliable pumping system available. The three pump problems are: pump failure, overwhelmed primary pump, and power failure. The TripleSafe Sump addresses all 3 issues with a 3-pump system. This model includes a Zoeller M-53 pump (which is the primary pump), a Zoeller M-98 High Volume Pump (this will operate if the first pump fails or is overwhelmed), and a third UltraSump Battery Back-Up Pumping system (which will operate in the event of a power failure). This model is also equipped with an airtight floor drain, a WaterWatch alarm, a removable lid, and a port for a dehumidifier to drain directly into the sump.

UltraSump:

The UltraSump safeguards against primary pump failures, power outages, and circuit tripping.

The UltraSump provides a battery back-up pump to secure your sump system against power outages, primary pump failures, circuit breaker trips, and an unplugged pump. It turns on automatically if the primary pump fails, and will pump out 12,000 total gallons of water on a fully charged battery. It also comes with an alarm system that will alert you to any primary pump failure.
