Sump Pumps Photo Album: WaterGuard and SuperSump resolve water problems in Dayton, OH
A Dayton, Ohio homeowner had problems with water seeping in at the floor of the basement. The house was built in the mid-'60s, has a block foundation and did not have a sump pump installed. They met with Roger, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump, IceGuard and Lawnscape outlet is installed to resolve this problem.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a patented piping system that is installed along the foundation walls to intercept water that is seeping into the basement. The water is then drained into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement. The sump installed here is the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System has a 1/3 hp cast iron pump, the WaterWatch Alarm System, the SuperLiner and the Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch Alarm System will sound an alarm if the water reaches the point that the sump should have turned on. This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system. The SuperLiner is a rugged liner with 96 holes in it that will allow water to seep in from under the floor. The Airtight Lid is strong enough to stand on, keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps things from falling in, and quiets the pump. IceGuard is attached to the discharge line to protect against clogging from frozen lines. The Lawnscape Outlet is attached at the end of the discharge line.
