This house was a rental property for college students attending the University of Miami of Ohio. The renter wanted to make sure that the college students were safe from musty smells and potential mold, so they wanted it waterproofed with the best. We installed our WaterGuard drains around the perimeter of the basement, and attached the drains to a SuperSump sump pump. We also installed CleanSpace walls as an extra protection against moisture coming through the walls by air. The college students living their are now able to achieve greatness and not be distracted from musty odors!

Concrete is a very heavy material, and when you have thick slabs sitting on top of unstable soil, you could see some pretty large cracks as a result. In the before picture, if you look just under the blue line, you can see how the slab is slanted downwards towards the left. We were able to level the slab by injecting the left side with our PolyLevel foam. Our foam gets injected underneath the concrete, and is strong enough to raise the slab back to where it originally was. We then seal everything with our concrete sealers, which will cover everything up.

We were called out to a home in Oxford, Ohio because the owner was noticing pooling water on her basement floor. After investigating the issue, our inspector determined that there was water leaking through a crack in her basement wall.

Our team recommended FlexiSpan to correct the issue with water leakage and PowerBraces to stabilize the cracking wall. The FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is a permanent solution to leaking basement wall cracks that eliminates the need for messy, unreliable epoxy or urethane injections. PowerBraces are designed to provide permanent stability to basement walls. Unlike other I-Beam systems, the PowerBrace can be tightened over time which can potentially straighten the wall.

After we installed the recommended products, the owner was left with a stable basement free of leaks and water infiltration. 

Encapsulation in a crawl space to prevent mold re-growth in Oxford, OH

A homeowner in Oxford, Ohio called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati regarding having his crawl space area encapsulated.  The crawl space had previously had a problem with mold that had been resolved.  Even though the mold problem was gone it could return if the crawl space moisture problem was not resolved.  We installed CleanSpace CrawlSpace Encapsulation System, CleanSpace Vent Covers, a SmartSump CrawlSpace Drainage System along with an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, and SilverGlo Insulation.   The CleanSpace Encapsulation system is a 20mil thick liner that covers the floor and walls of the crawlspace.  The CleanSpace Vent Covers cover and seal the outside vents preventing cold air and moisture from entering the crawl space.  SilverGlo is a graphite infused polystyrene insulation that will reflect heat back into the crawl space and help lower heating bills!  The SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System is designed especially for crawl spaces and has a uniquely designed lid that can alert the homeowner to water coming into the crawl space caused by a plumbing leak.  The UltraSump is a battery back up pump system that gives the homeowner added protection from floods due to pump or power failure.  These products will keep the crawl space dry and mold free.
