Our CarbonArmor wall repair system is a very unique solution for foundation walls that have started to show a slight inflection inwards. For this basement in Morrow, OH, we started the installation process by lightly grinding the wall to make for a rough, clean surface for the glue. We then applied a layer of epoxy resin on the wall, which helped us adhere the carbon straps to the wall. We then applied a another layer of epoxy over the straps to ensure the carbon is secure to the wall. Then we secured the tops of the carbon straps to the rim joists with the ArmorLock system. The ArmorLocks are fused to each CarbonArmor strip, and are anchored to a heavy-duty steel bracket that’s lag-screwed to the rim joist. The CarbonArmor system is the perfect minimally invasive, high-strength solution for slightly bowed or cracked walls.

TripleSafe Sump Pump System installed in a three year old home in Morrow, Ohio

We installed a TripleSafe Sump in a three-year-old home in Morrow, Ohio.  The TripleSafe Sump Pump System has three pumps.  The main pump will do the majority of the pumping.  If this pump would fail or become overwhelmed pump 2 will start up and run along with pump one to remove the water from the basement.  The Third pump is the Battery Back-up System.  This pump will start up and run on battery power to pump water out of the basement during a power failure.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound to alert the homeowner that there is a problem with the system that needs to be resolved.  

PowerBraces to Stabilize Wall in Morrow, OH

A homeowner in Morrow had a tilting wall in his home and called The Basement Doctor for a solution to this problem.  An appointment was scheduled with our Certified Inspector, Roger.

Roger met with the homeowner and recommended PowerBraces to solve this problem.  A PowerBrace is a patented, steel I-Beam coated with zinc, to resist rust, and is designed to stabilize walls that are tilting or bowing.  These PowerBraces can be tightened and can potentially straighten the wall over time!  PowerBraces are installed without having to excavate your outside yard and with minimal disruption to the inside area.  With the PowerBraces installed, the wall is now stable, with no concerns of any further movement of the wall.
