Using the FlexiSpan system, we were able to seal this crack and prevent further water leaks. First, we apply the first layer of FlexiSpan sealant, which should stop 95% of water coming through. We then place foam in the crack and build a trench in the concrete floor to guide any water that still may come through the wall into the trench. We then apply another layer of sealant, guaranteeing no water leakage at all.

An Amelia, Ohio homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati regarding problems they were having with water seeping into the basement through a crack in the foundation wall. The homeowner met with Walt, a Certified Inspector, who recommended a FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
The FlexiSpan Wall Crack Repair System is a revolutionary, permanent, and a "works every time" solution. A common way to repair a wall crack is using some type of injection method. This will work for a period of time, but as the home continues to settle, the wall crack will most likely open again and begin to leak. The FlexiSpan has three layers of protection against leaks. First, a bead of sealant. Next, is the Foam Drain Strip. If there is any small amount of water that gets past the sealant, the foam drain strip will drain the water down into the drainage below. The last layer is a sealant overlay a tough, flexible, waterproof seal that is installed from top to bottom of the crack creating a complete seal.
A Loveland, Ohio homeowner was having problems with a wall that was bowing in the basement. The PowerBrace is a steel I-beam that is secured tightly against the wall with brackets that are attached to the floor and floor joists. The PowerBrace immediately stabilizes the wall and protects it from further movement, and the adjustable bracket can be tightened over time to potentially reverse the wall failure.
A homeowner in Amelia, Ohio noticed some cracks in a basement wall so they called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for help resolving this problem. The homeowner met with Mike, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and a PowerBrace System is installed to resolve the problems that the homeowner was having in the basement.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system that is installed under the floor at the base of the foundation wall. This piping system is used to collect and intercept water from seeping into the basement. The water that is collected by the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is pumped out of the basement with a sump pump system, such as the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp pump that is used to pump water out of the basement. The SuperSump can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of the basement. It also includes the WaterWatch alarm, the SuperLiner, and an Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if there is a pump or power failure. The SuperLiner is a rugged, heavy-duty liner that houses the pump and will not cave in or crack. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keeps things from falling into the liner and also helps to quiet the pump.
The PowerBrace System is steel I-beams that are secured tightly against the wall with brackets that are attached to the floor and floor joists. The PowerBrace System is used to stabilize a wall that is bowing, cracking or tipping. There is an adjustable bracket on the PowerBrace that can be tightened over time and can potentially reverse the wall failure.
Having the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System installed will intercept the water that is seeping into the basement and then it will be pumped out of the basement by the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System. This will keep the basement dry so that the homeowner can use it for storage or living space without worries of water intrusion. AND with the PowerBrace System installed on the wall in the basement that was cracking, the wall is stabilized and protected from further movement.
A Williamsburg, Ohio homeowner, was experiencing problems with water and moisture in a crawl space and called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem. The homeowner met with a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a CleanSpace Encapsulation System and a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System is installed to resolve the issues that the homeowner was having in the crawlspace.
The CleanSpace Liner is a 20-mil-thick plastic liner that is attached to the walls and floor of the crawl space. The CleanSapce Liner is a bright, white color and reflects natural light and provides a moisture-proof barrier.
The SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System is used to remove the water that seeps into the crawl space under the CleanSpace Liner. The SmartSump has a couple of "smart" features that you may want to know about. The SmartSump includes a WaterWatch Alarm that will sound when there is a pump or power failure. The WaterWatch Alarm is a great feature to have, especially in a crawl space. The homeowner may be aware when the power goes out, but if there would be a pump failure, the homeowner may not even realize that there is a problem until damage has occurred. The other "smart" feature is the Airtight Lid that has an Airtight Floor Drain. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the crawl space, keeps out insects and odors, and helps to quiet the pump. The Airtight Floor Drain will allow water that flows into the crawl space from a plumbing leak to drain down into the Airtight Floor Drain and will be pumped out of the crawl space.
These products working together will keep the crawl space dry and healthier for the homeowner. To keep the humidity low, a SaniDry Sedona could also be installed. The SaniDry Sedona is used to remove moisture, dust mite droppings, mold spores, and other particulates from the air. Keeping the humidity at an appropriate level discourages mold growth and musty odors in the crawl space. Why is this important? The crawl space is a part of the home, so whatever is in the crawl space will get into the living space. An important step to achieving a healthy home environment is to have a healthy crawl space.
We installed a RockWell Window Well for a customer in Milford, Ohio. A RockWell Window Well looks like a rocky landscape from the inside of the home. The RockWell provides a way of escape out of the basement. As you can see in the photos, the original window well was not very wide and would have been very difficult to be able to escape the basement through that space. The RockWell Window Well will provide ample space for exit and also has steps built into the well to make it easier to exit the basement during an emergency. The RockWell Window Well Covers are strong enough to stand on and also let in natural light.

A CleanSpace Encapsulation System was installed in Owensville, Ohio. A CleanSpace Encapsulation System is an essential part of keeping your crawl space and your home healthy. Some of the products included in this project are CleanSpace Liner, CleanSpace Drainage Matting, CleanSpace Vent Covers, A SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, SmartJack Floor Supports, and a TURTL.
CleanSpace Drainage Matting is installed between the ground and the CleanSpace Liner. The Drainage Matting provides a channel for the water to flow out of the crawl space. The CleanSpace Liner provides a moisture-proof barrier between the ground and the home. The CleanSpace Liner is made out of a 20-mil-thick plastic liner similar to a pool liner. Also installed were CleanSpace Vent Covers. The vent covers seal the existing vents helping to create an airtight seal.
The SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System is used to remove the water from the crawl space. It has a WaterWatch Alarm and an Airtight Lid with an AirTight Floor Drain.
SmartJacks are steel piers that are used to support a floor that is unlevel, sagging, or creaking. A steel pier is cut to size and installed under the floor that needs to be supported. An adjustable screw is used to jack the floor up into place.
The Turtl is a crawl space access well that makes it easier to get into the crawl space.
These products all work together to make this crawl space more comfortable to maintain and access. For more information on how these products would work in your home, schedule a free estimate with a Certified Inspector.
To resolve the problems in the basement, we installed the patented WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, BrightWall Paneling, and a TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe has 3 pumps, the first pump is the main pump, the second pump will automatically start up if the first pump becomes overwhelmed and both pumps will pump together to remove the water from the basement. The third pump is the battery back up pump. If there is a power failure, the UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump will pump water out of the basement using battery power. The UltraSump comes with its own battery pack and a charging station.
To resolve water problems in the crawl space, we installed a CleanSpace Drainage Matting and the CleanSpace Liner on the floor of the crawl space. We also installed SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation. SilverGlo is rigid insulation that has been infused with graphite. This reflects heat back into the crawl space and keeps the floors warmer.
