 A homeowner in West Chester was having problems with water seeping into their basement.  They called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem.  

The homeowner met with our Certified Inspector, Jeff, for a free estimate.  Jeff recommended that the homeowner have WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and a SuperSump Pump System installed.

The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a perimeter piping system that is installed at the base of the foundation walls.  The water is collected in the piping system and is pumped out of the house through the sump pump system, such as the SuperSump Pump System.

The SuperSump Pump System.  This system includes a 1/3hp Zoeller sump pump, the WaterWatch Alarm System, SuperLiner and the Airtight Lid.

TripleSafe Sump Pump System Installed in West Chester, OH

A home in West Chester had water seeping into the walls in several places in the basement.  The block walls had been painted but now starting to bubble and peel.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for an estimate to fix this problem.  The homeowner met with one of our Certified Inspectors who recommended our patented WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System and TripleSafe Pump System be installed. 

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system designed to intercept water and drains it away unseen into the sump pump system, such as a TripleSafe Sump Pump System.

The TripleSafe Sump System consists of three pumps.  The first pump is the main pump.  It will be the one that pumps most of the time.  Pump two operates if pump one fails or if it cannot keep up with the water.  Both pump running can remove up to 6,200 gallons of water an hour from the basement.  Pump three is a battery back up pumping system.  This will operate in times of power failure and runs on a battery with an automatic charging system.  TripleSafe Sump Pump System will give you peace of mind that you are protected.

Settling foundation supported by Helical Piers in Middletown, OH

A homeowner in Middletown was having problems with cracking and settling in the bedroom walls.  They had installed new doors when they had moved there in 1984 and they were now setting and they were concerned that one of the walls was sinking.  They called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem.

The homeowner met with one of our certified inspectors who recommended Helical Piers to be installed.  Helical Piers are steel piers that are mechanically screwed into the soil to an appropriate depth.  A steel foundation bracket is connected to the pier and attached to the footing of the foundation.  The weight of the foundation is now transferred to the helical pier and will permanently stabilize your foundation.  The Helical Pier may be able to lift the home back to a level position.  The dirt removed during install will be placed back on top of the Helical Pier making it unseen.  Nobody will be able to tell that you have had these installed, but the homeowner will have the security of knowing they are there and the foundation is now safe from settling.

Encapsulation in a crawl space to prevent mold re-growth in Oxford, OH

A homeowner in Oxford, Ohio called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati regarding having his crawl space area encapsulated.  The crawl space had previously had a problem with mold that had been resolved.  Even though the mold problem was gone it could return if the crawl space moisture problem was not resolved.  We installed CleanSpace CrawlSpace Encapsulation System, CleanSpace Vent Covers, a SmartSump CrawlSpace Drainage System along with an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, and SilverGlo Insulation.   The CleanSpace Encapsulation system is a 20mil thick liner that covers the floor and walls of the crawlspace.  The CleanSpace Vent Covers cover and seal the outside vents preventing cold air and moisture from entering the crawl space.  SilverGlo is a graphite infused polystyrene insulation that will reflect heat back into the crawl space and help lower heating bills!  The SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System is designed especially for crawl spaces and has a uniquely designed lid that can alert the homeowner to water coming into the crawl space caused by a plumbing leak.  The UltraSump is a battery back up pump system that gives the homeowner added protection from floods due to pump or power failure.  These products will keep the crawl space dry and mold free.

CleanSpace Wall System is a white plastic liner that covers the walls of the basement.  It is our most economical way to cover walls and stop water vapor from penetrating the walls.  The white color makes the basement look clean and bright.  

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system used to intercept water that seeps into the basement and drains it into a drainage system, such as the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.

CleanSpace Encapsulation System in Hamilton, OH

We installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System along with CleanSpace Vent Covers, SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation and RimTight Rim Joist Insulation for a homeowner in Hamilton, Ohio.

The Liner of the CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a bright white 20-mil-thick liner, similar to a pool liner that is used to provide a vapor-proof barrier between the ground below and the crawl space.   The CleanSpace Vent Covers also help to seal the crawl space.

SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation is graphite infused rigid insulation.  The shiny side of the insulation reflects heat back into the crawl space.  This helps to keep the floors warmer in the winter. 

RimTight Rim Joist Insulation insulates the rim joist area of the home.  The rim joist is the board just above the foundation at the perimeter of your flooring system above the crawl space.  When this is not properly insulated cold air leaks into the crawl space in the winter making the home harder to heat and the floors cold.  In the summer, this causes condensation and humidity in the crawl space and in the home above making the environment uncomfortable.

With the CleanSpace Encapsulation System, SilverGlo and Rim Joist Insulation the homeowner will enjoy having lower heating and cooling costs and a more comfortable environment.

PowerBraces, WaterGuard and SuperSump to resolve water seeping into basement through cracks, in Hamilton OH

A Hamilton, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping in through cracks in the wall and also some water seeping in at the floor in the basement.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and met with Chris, a Certified inspector, who recommended that the PowerBrace System, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and an UltraSump Battery Back-up System.

The PowerBrace System is steel I-Beams that are secured tight to the wall and anchored with brackets secured to the floor and floor joist to immediately stabilize a failing wall.  The PowerBrace's unique design allows the system to be tightened over time potentially reversing wall failure.  What this means is when the PowerBraces are installed the wall will be stabilized against further movement.  It may need to be tightened a little bit over time before the wall failure is reversed.  

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is our patented piping system that is installed along the basement walls.  This piping system will intercept the water that is seeping into the basement and will drain it into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump that Chris recommended is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump.  It comes with the WaterWatch Alarm, the SuperLiner, and Airtight Lid.   The UltraSump is a battery back-up pump that automatically comes on during primary pump or power failure.  

 

CleanSpace used to resolve water intrusion in Trenton, OH

A homeowner in Trenton, Ohio has a home built in the 70s with a block foundation, no sump pump had been installed and was noticing some water in the crawl space.  We installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, CleanSpace Liner and Vent Covers, an EverLast Door, SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation and SmartJack Floor Support System to resolve the problems that the homeowner was having in the crawl space. 

The TripleSafe Sump Pump System is a three pump system including a 1/3 hp pump, a 1/2 hp high volume pump, and an UltraSump Battery Back-up System.  

A CleanSpace Liner is a heavy-duty plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is attached to the floors and walls of the crawl space to provide a mold and vapor-proof barrier between the ground and the home.  The CleanSpace Vent Covers are used to cover the open vents, keep debris from entering the crawl space, and help to provide an airtight seal.  

An EverLast Door will not warp or rot keep outside air out and provides easy access into the crawl space. 

SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation has graphite particles infused into it to reflect heat back into the crawl space.  This makes the floors warmer in the winter and reduces heating costs.  

The SmartJack Floor Support System is steel piers that are cut to size and installed under a sagging floor of the home.  The adjustable screw is used to jack the floor up into place and can also be adjusted in the future if needed.  

These products working together will provide the homeowner with a dry crawl space.  A dry crawl space equals a healthier home.  A crawl space with too much moisture encourages mold growth, musty odors, and an unhealthy environment not only in the crawl space but in the living space above.

A West Chester homeowner was having problems with water seeping in on the back wall of the finished basement.  The home is about 40 years old, has a block foundation, and no sump pump was originally installed.

The Homeowner met with a Certified Inspector who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TrenchDrain, and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System with UltraSump Battery Back-up System is installed to resolve the problems that the homeowner was experiencing in the basement. 

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a patented sub-floor piping system used to intercept the water that seeps into the basement.  The water is collected in the piping and it is drained into a sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement and keep the basement dry.

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is used to pump water out of the basement.  It can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of the basement.  The SuperSump includes the WaterWatch Alarm, Super Liner and Airtight Lid.  WaterWatch Alarm will sound during a pump or power failure to alert the homeowner that there is a problem with the system that needs to be resolved.  The SuperLiner is a heavy-duty liner that will not cave in or crack and houses the pumps.  The Airtight Lid will keep the water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps objects from falling into the liner and helps to quiet the pump.  The UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump will automatically turn on to pump water out of the basement if there is a pump or power failure.  This pump will run on battery power and comes with its own battery and charging station.

These products working together gives the homeowner peace of mind that the basement will now be free of water leaking and can now be refinished without worries of water intrusion.

Helical Piers used to raise a foundation in Hamilton, Ohio

A home in Hamilton, Ohio, was having problems with a settling foundation, so they called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find a solution to the problem.  The homeowner met with a Certified Inspector to get a free estimate and inspection.  

The Helical Pier System is used to stabilize and possibly raise a foundation.  First, a steel pier is mechanically screwed into the ground until it reaches the stable ground.  Next, a bracket is attached to the foundation footer and the pier.  This transfers the weight of the home from the unstable soil to the pier.  This permanently stabilizes the foundation and it may be possible to raise the foundation.  Ask a Certified Inspector for more details. 

Concrete driveway slabs are repaired with Polylevel Injection.

We used Polylevel Injection System to raise some concrete driveway slabs in West Chester, Ohio.  Over time, the soil under the slab can settle or get washed away, causing the piece to sink.  Polylevel uses an open-cell polymer foam.  This foam is injected underneath the slab that needs to be raised.  The foam expands, filling all of the voids under the slab. Now, we can raise the slab so that it is level with the rest of the driveway.

Polylevel Injection is done by drilling some small holes into the concrete slab that needs to be lifted and injecting the foam underneath the slab.  The foam expands, filling in the void, and raises the concrete slab.

A basement with water seeping in through the block foundation is resolved in West Chester, Ohio.

As you can see in the photo, a home in West Chester had water seeping into the basement through the block walls.  To resolve this problem, we installed the BrightWall Paneling System, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump PremierSump Pump System, and an UltraSump Battery Back-up System. 

The BrightWall Panel is a sheet of plastic paneling that is permanently attached to the foundation walls of the basement.  The BrightWall paneling covers the walls like traditional paneling.   The BrightWall Panels also will drain the wall leaks down into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.  The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a sub-floor piping system that will intercept the water that comes through the walls and will drain it into the SuperSump PremierSump Pump System.  The SuperSump PremierSump Pump System is used to remove the water from the basement.  The SuperSump includes a cast iron pump, CleanPump Stand, SuperLiner, WaterWatch Alarm, and an Airtight Lid with an Airtight Floor Drain.  The UltraSump Battery Back-up System will automatically turn on during a pump or power failure and will pump water out of the basement using battery power.  It comes with a maintenance-free battery and charging station. 

These products working together will give the homeowner to have a dry basement.  To recap how this works, when water seeps through the walls, the BrightWall will direct the water into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.  The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System will collect the water and drain the water into the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.  The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System will pump the water out of the basement.  If there is a power failure, the UltraSump Battery Back-up System will start up and pump the water out of the basement using battery power.

Middletown, OH Garage Protected with TrenchDrain

These homeowners in Middletown, Ohio noticed that water was seeping underneath their garage door, causing damage to their garage walls, flooring, and appliances. 

We fitted this garage with a TrenchDrain in front of the door in order to capture any water seeping under the door. We also added other waterproofing precautions like a WaterGuard, IceGuard, and SuperSump. 

Hamilton, Ohio Basement Waterproofed Using BrightWall and SuperSump

We were asked to investigate some water infiltration issues in a Hamilton, Ohio basement. Our team discovered that the main culprit was the basement's leaking walls. We came to investigate the issue and found that their kitchen's flooring was built over a concrete slab that was settling and becoming uneven. Luckily, our high-strength PolyLevel polyurethane foam can be used on indoor fixtures as well as outdoor fixtures. We injected PolyLevel underneath the concrete flooring - lifting it back to level and stabilizing it for the homeowners.

Our team was called out to a property in Fairfield Township, Ohio to see why the concrete driveway and sidewalk were becoming uneven. The team determined that the soil had washed out from underneath the slabs - creating uneven surfaces. This home in Hamilton, Ohio was having issues with the back patio, back stoop, and front stoop sloping and becoming uneven. These fixtures were beginning to pose tripping hazards on the property. Luckily, our team was able to raised and stabilize these fixtures through a series of PolyLevel injections. After the injections were complete, the concrete joints were sealed with NexusPro sealant. This should protect the concrete from further water infiltration that can cause erosion and unevenness. 

Front Porch Leveled in Okeana, Ohio

The front porch of an Okeana, Ohio home was becoming uneven and dislocating from the wall. The homeowners were concerned that this unevenness was impacting their property value and posing a tripping hazard. Luckily, our team was able to correct the issue with a fast and effective solution. 

Our team drilled a series of pea-sized holes through the concrete porch and injected PolyLevel underneath the structure. PolyLevel is a high-strength polyurethane foam that works for both heavy and light concrete structures.
