Bright Vapor Barrier
Our white CleanSpace moisture barrier is great at reflecting light. The vapor barrier gets wrapped around all columns and is sealed with vapor proof tape.
Musty Existing Crawl Space
Leaving your crawl space open to the earth may result in high moisture levels.
SilverGlo Foam Insulation Panels
Our SilverGlo panels go along the walls of crawl spaces and are made of inorganic foam, (you can see them in this picture behind the white vapor barrier). This means they won't retain moisture or have the capability to grow mold on them. It's ability to stay dry is why they have such high insulation ratings/specs.
More Storage Room
One of the most overlooked benefit of having an encapsulated crawl space is it can serve as a storage space. By eliminating moisture and having a clean surface to crawl on, you are able to store whatever you please down there without worry.
Water Softener
Plumbers love us because if they are ever called to service in one of our crawl spaces, they get to stay clean!
Crawl Space Sump Pump
In order to stop all the groundwater leaks in this crawl space, we installed a SuperSump Plus sump pump. This sump pump has a battery backup system that will activate if the pump ever loses power. Just to the left of this picture is our dehumidifier, which is automatic and discharges straight to the pump.
Smart Drain for Potential Plumbing Leaks
We installed four of these Smart Drains around the encapsulation system because of a water softener located in the crawl space. If the water softener were ever to leak, we wouldn't want the water to sit on top of the vapor barrier. These drains are vapor proof and are fitted right into the vapor barrier. They also come with sound alarms and an ingenious ball and cup drainage system. The alarm will sound if it fills with too much water and the drain allows water to flow into the drain while keeping the lid air tight.
