Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CleanSpace used in Manchester, OH

We installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System in a 25-year-old home in Manchester, Ohio.  The homeowner met with Mike, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a CleanSpace Liner along with CleanSpace Drainage Matting, SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation, RimJoist Insulation, and a SaniDry Sedona is installed in the crawl space.   The CleanSpace Liner is made of bright white plastic and is similar to a pool liner.  The CleanSpace liner is attached to the floor and walls of the crawl space to provide a vapor-proof barrier.   The CleanSpace Drainage Matting has a dimpled surface and is installed under the CleanSpace Liner to provide a channel for the water to flow out of the crawl space.   SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation is graphite infused rigid insulation that is installed on the walls of the crawl space.  The graphite reflects heat back into the crawl space making the crawl space and the floors above warmer. The rim joist is the board just above the foundation at the perimeter of your home's floor system. If this area leaks unconditioned air into the crawl space, it can cause cold areas and also condensation and humidity in the summer.  Having this area insulated with make your home more comfortable and be more efficient.  The SaniDry Sedona is used to dry and filter the air.  Having too much humidity in the crawl space encourages mold and musty odors and makes the home uncomfortable.  The special filters on the SaniDry also filter out dust and mold spores and help you to have a healthier home.
