This garage in Miamisburg, OH, was experiencing serious water intrusion and structural pressure, so our team stepped in with a comprehensive solution. Inside, we installed a WaterGuard® drainage system paired with a SuperSump® pump system to capture and remove any water entering at the foundation level. To brighten the space and help guide wall moisture into the system, we finished the interior with BrightWall® panels. On the exterior, we added a French drain along the base of the retaining wall to redirect surface and groundwater away from the structure. To stabilize the shifting foundation, we installed 9 PowerBraces® to permanently support and straighten the garage wall over time.
Structural Integrity
Our PowerBraces spread the weight of the wall evenly across the floor and the ceiling of the basement, preventing damage to both. They are also coated in zinc, which prevents rusting.
Retaining Wall
Off to the left of the picture is a retaining wall that was holding a lot of water from the grade of the yard. We installed a french drain at the bottom of the retaining wall to help relieve some pressure off of it.
PowerBrace
A year after we installed the PowerBraces, we sent a service technician to give a free adjustment. This adjustment helped straighten the foundation wall out a little.
