Hydrostatic pressure causes lots of trouble for basements in our service area. Often times when homes are first built, the builders have to excavate a hole in the soil to provide space to build your foundation. When this soil is dug up and backfilled back against the foundation, the soil is not as compact as it once was. This poorly packed soil gives space for water to seep into from rain. This soil then becomes so heavy that it can cause walls to bow, crack, and leak. We repaired this basement by first waterproofing it with our WaterGuard subfloor drains and our TripleSafe sump pump. This process relieves the foundation of built up water pressure. We then stabilized the bowed in walls by strengthening them with our PowerBraces.
