Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Exterior Waterproofing System in Cincinnati, Ohio
This home in Cincinnati, Ohio had a downgrade patio that was attracting water because the surrounding retaining wall was passing water when it rained. This was resulting in pools of water sitting on their patio, which could lead water right into their basement if it rained enough. Since this home was only flooding because of water that was coming from the patio, we didn't propose an interior waterproofing solution like we normally do. Instead, we installed an exterior system that included, various downspouts, trench drains, catch basins, and perforated drains. No need for a sump pump, since we installed a good amount of downspouts that will do all the work needed thanks to gravity. The result gave the customer a good piece of mind knowing their basement is, and will be, dry.
Grated Drain
We installed a trench drain to make sure water doesn't enter from the patio into the basement.
Trench Drain
The trench drain will use gravity to pull water away from the home.
Downspouts
We later backfilled these downspouts to keep them concealed.
Proper Grading
By grading the drains down, gravity will do all the work.
