Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Michigan Basement Waterproofing in Piqua, Ohio
Michigan basements usually have stone walls, a dirt floor, and a shallow ceiling. Michigan style basements are typically found in older farm-styled homes, like this one that was built in 1880. Typically used for storage or shelter, they often contain lots of moisture. In order to update this basement to current living standards, we decided to waterproof it and encapsulate it to keep it dry as can be. By covering the entire space with our CleanSpace liner, and by waterproofing the space with a sump pump and a dehumidifier, we were able to effectively turn the dirty wet space into a dry clean space. No longer can moisture cause musty smells, rusted appliances, or rotting wood. Be sure to scroll through the photos to learn more!
