This rather large wet basement was causing all types of problems for the homeowner. The water leaking didn't just give off a pungent musty smell, it also was affecting the floor joists in the basements ceiling. The built up hydrostatic pressure around the foundation was creating cracks in the walls and the floor, which was allowing water to seep in. The moisture level was very high, and causing the joists to sag. We fixed both problems by installing our full perimeter interior waterproofing system and a couple of SmartJack posts to support the sagging floor joists. Our waterproofing system consisted of our WaterGuard subfloor drains and a SuperSump Plus sump pump. The result is a dry basement with sturdy floors for the first floor of the home.

New Sump Pump

We installed our Super Sump Plus sump pump in the existing sump pit. All the water collected from our subfloor drains will run to it, thanks to gravity.

SmartJack Floor Joist Posts

The homeowners existing posts were weak and corroded by rust. We installed two of our SmartJacks to help strengthen the floors on the first level of the home. Our posts are silver and square shaped, not to be confused with the little rusted post in between them.

Existing Sump Pit

This sump pit was full of water, which means something went wrong. It's also not a good idea to have an open sump pit like this because water can pollute the basement air with moisture. All of our sump lids our moisture sealed for this reason.
