Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Basement and Humid Crawl Space Problems Solved in New Richmond, Ohio

This house had both a basement and a crawl space, which is pretty common for homes in our service area. When we ask home builders why they build homes with both a crawl space and a basement, they usually say it's because they ran into bedrock while digging for the basement, and they have to settle for a shallow crawl space in the tough-to-dig areas. No matter the case, this home had both a humid crawl space and a wet basement, so they wanted us to fix both of the problems. We started with the basement by installing our full interior perimeter waterproofing system consisting of: WaterGuard subfloor drains, a TripleSafe sump pump attached with an UltraSump 4 battery backup system, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a full BrightWall wall paneling system. To fix the crawl space, we installed our encapsulation vapor barrier called CleanSpace, SmartJack crawl space posts, and our drainage matting system under the vapor barrier.
