Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WellDuct Window Drains, Waterguard and SuperSump Pump System used to resolve water in Cincinnati, OH
A 50-year-old home in Cincinnati had water seeping into the basement through the windows due to flooded window wells. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem. After meeting with Chris, a Certified Inspector, the homeowner decided to have WellDuct Window Drains, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System installed to resolve the problems they were having in the basement.
WellDuct Window Drains are designed to drain the water from the window wells to keep it from flooding into the basement. A hole is drilled through the foundation wall just below the window. On the outside, a strainer is installed to keep debris out. The WellDuct Window Drain is fastened and sealed on the inside and connected to the WaterGuard below. The water that gets into the window well will now be drained down into the WellDuct and down into the WaterGuard and will be pumped out of the basement.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a perimeter drainage system that is designed to drain water out of the basement. The water is collected in the piping system and drained into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron sump pump. It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner and Airtight Lid. The sump pump will pump the water out of the basement.
These three systems working together will keep the window well from flooding water into the basement and the homeowner will not have to worry about water intrusion in this area of the basement any longer.
