Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water resolved in a home with a crawl space and basement in Cincinnati, OH
A Cincinnati homeowner had water seeping into the basement and crawl space area of their 1950s home. The Basement has a block foundation with an unfinished basement. The crawl space also had a block foundation and had a thin vapor-barrier on a dirt floor.
They met with Walt, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TrenchDrain, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System along with an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, BrightWall Paneling System, and a SaniDry Dehumidifier is installed in the basement and CleanSpace Encapsulation System with Drainage Matting and an EverLast Door is installed in the crawl space to resolve the problems with water seeping into the basement.
WaterGuard is our patented piping system that is installed along the foundation walls to intercept water that seeps into the basement. The water is then pumped out of the basement through a sump pump system, such as the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end Zoeller cast iron pump. It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm, the SuperLiner, and the Airtight Lid. Also available is the UltraSump Battery Back-up System. The UltraSump will automatically run if there is a primary pump or power failure.
The SaniDry Dehumidifier will keep the humidity low.
Also installed in the basement is BrightWall Paneling System. BrightWall is a plastic paneling that covers basement walls and also drains water leaks down into the WaterGuard and gives the basement a clean, semi-finished look.
In the crawl space area of the home, we installed our patented CleanSpace Encapsulation System. CleanSpace Drainage Matting has dimples throughout the matting to provide a channel for water to flow into the drainage system. The CleanSpace Liner is a 20-mil-thick bright white liner, similar to a pool liner that provides a mold and vapor-proof barrier between the ground below and the crawl space. We also installed an EverLast door that provides easy access into the crawl space and keeps water and debris from entering the crawl space.
As you can see these products all work together to keep the basement dry. The BrightWall drains the leaks down into the WaterGuard and then it is pumped out of the basement. The CleanSpace Encapsulation System creates a vapor proof barrier and allows the water to flow into the drainage system to also be pumped out of the basement. Keeping the crawl space and basement dry is a very important step to keeping your home mold-free and comfortable.

The bright white liner of the CleanSpace makes the crawl space look clean and bright while providing a mold and vapor-proof barrier.

In this photo, you can see where the water has been seeping in causing dark spots on the walls and you can also see the water seeping in on the floor.
BrightWall, WaterGuard, SuperSump, UltraSump and SaniDry all come together.
Here you can see the BrightWall covers the wall and sends any water leaks down into the WaterGuard, the WaterGuard drains the water into the SuperSump to be pumped out of the basement. And the SaniDry will keep the humidity low. These products working together will keep the basement dry for the homeowner to use for storage without having to worry about damage caused by water intrusion.
