Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water that was seeping through the basement walls resolved with WaterGuard in Cincinnati, OH

A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping in through the walls of the basement.  The house is about 90 years old, has poured walls and no sump pump had been installed.  He met with Brice, a Certified Inspector, who recommended WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System,  a TrenchDrain Grated Drainage Pipe System, A TripleSafe Sump, and FlexiSpan Crack Repair System. WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed along the foundation walls.  The TrenchDrain Grated Drainage Pipe System has an open grate at the top and is commonly seen along outer doorways.  Both of these drainage systems intercept water that is seeping in and will drain the water into a sump pump system, such as the TripleSafe that we installed. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System includes three pumps.  The first pump does the majority of the pumping, the second pump will start up if the first pump becomes overwhelmed giving it a little "boost".  The third pump is the UltraSump Battery Back up System and it will come on during times of power failure and runs on battery power.  These three pumps fit nicely into the TripleSafe Liner so there is no worry about it taking up a lot of space.  It will all be tucked into the liner.  It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm so if the water reaches the point that the pump should have started, it will sound an alarm alerting the homeowner to a problem with the system.  This gives the homeowner time to respond before damage occurs.  We also installed a FlexiSpan Crack Repair System used to resolve problems with cracks in the foundation walls that are seeping water into the basement.  FlexiSpan has three layers of protection against leaking wall cracks.  The first layer is a bead of sealant.  This will usually stop the water from seeping in.  Any water that does make it through that barrier will be about 5% of what was coming through before.  The next Layer is the FlexiSpan Foam Drain Strip.  This strip will drain any tiny amount of water that leaks through down into the WaterGuard.  The third layer is a sealant overlay and it covers the Foam Drain Strip starting at the top and the bottom is tucked into the WaterGuard  to drain the water out of the basement. This makes it a permanent repair for this crack.
