Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: WaterGuard and SuperSump installed in a 100 year old home in Cincinnati, OH
A homeowner of a 100-year-old home with a stone foundation in Cincinnati was having problems with water seeping into the basement at the floor. They met with Walt, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System along with a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is installed.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed at the perimeter of the foundation walls to intercept water that is seeping into the basement. Once the water is collected it is drained into the sump pump system, such as a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System to be pumped out of the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump. It can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water an hour, resists clogging and can pump up to 1/2" solids. It also includes the WaterWatch alarm that will sound an alarm if there is a pump or power failure to alert the homeowner to a problem with the pump before damage occurs. It also includes the SuperLiner a rugged heavy-duty liner that features a "pump ring" that centers the pump into the liner. Also, the Airtight Lid that is strong enough to store things on top of it, keeps out bugs and odors and quiets the pump.
WaterGuard intercepting the water and the sump pump system pumping the water out of the basement will keep this basement dry and make it a more usable space for the homeowner.
