Basement Repair Services in Cincinnati, Ohio
Challenge
This basement was semi-finished, but the homeowner had plans to renew their bar area, work bench area, and their bathroom area. They knew they couldn't start that process until they fixed the foundation and waterproofing issues they had, so they looked to us for the job. A lot of prep work needed to be done to be able to clear the area for demolition, so we agreed upon the homeowner removed all wall coverings, the work bench, and the shower, while we took away the concrete sink.
Solution
After the prep work was complete, we got started on waterproofing and foundation repairing. We started with the demo process by jackhammering the whole entire perimeter interior floor of the basement to make room for WaterGuard drains, and we dug a hole for the TripleSafe sump pump we installed. When installing the drains, we also had to go around an oil tank, which was no problem at all. We then poured concrete back over the drains to seal out moisture from the drains. We then installed the discharge line far away from the base of the home. Lastly, we installed PowerBrace beams all along the walls where the walls were bowed in at. The result is a dry, sturdy basement that the homeowners can now finish for their bar, bathroom, and work space.
