Water seeping into the basement from under the windows and through crack in the floor is resolved in Wilmington, OH.
Challenge
A home that was built in 2005 was starting to leak some water into the basement from under the windows and also through some cracks in the floor. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find a solution to this problem.
Solution
The homeowner scheduled an appointment with Chris, who recommended that a WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, WellDuct Window Well Drain, and a SaniDry Sedona is installed to resolve the problems that the homeowner was experiencing in the basement.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system that is installed along the foundation wall and will collect the water that seeps into the basement. Once the water is received, it is drained into a sump pump system, such as the TripleSafeSump Pump System. The TripleSafe has three pumps. The first pump is the pump that will be doing the majority of the pumping. The second pump is a high-volume pump, and it will start up and run if the first pump would fail or if it gets overwhelmed by a high volume of water. Both pumps can run at the same time to pump water out of the basement if there is a lot of water. The third pump is an UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump. This pump will run if there is a power failure, and it will run using battery power. The UltraSump comes with a battery pack and charging station.
Since the homeowner was having problems with water seeping in from under the windows, we installed a WellDuct Window Well Drain. The WellDuct Window Well Drain provides a channel for the water to flow from the window well to the WaterGuard. This will drain the window well and keep it from overflowing into the basement.
The SaniDry Sedona is used to dry and filter the air. Too much moisture in the basement encourages mold growth, can cause musty odors, and even make the basement feel humid. The SaniDry's filter will remove mold spores, dust mite droppings, and other particles from the air.
All of these products, working together, will create a dry, healthy basement. Removing the water from the basement and filtering the air will create a healthier home.
