CleanSpace used to resolve wet basement walls in a one hundred year old home in Cincinnati, OH
Challenge
A homeowner of a one-hundred-year-old home called The Basement Doctor regarding some problems they were having with wet walls in the basement. The homeowner was not sure where the water was coming from. The foundation is made of stone and cement. They did not have a sump pump in the basement. They scheduled an appointment with Walt, a Certified Inspector to find a solution to this problem.
Solution
Walt recommended that the homeowner have a CleanSpace Wall System, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, and a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is installed to resolve the water problems in the basement.
A CleanSpace Wall System is our most economical wall covering. The CleanSpace Wall System liner is a heavy-duty plastic liner, similar to a pool liner that is attached to the walls of the basement. The CleanSpace Liner provides a moisture-proof barrier between the wet wall and the inside of the basement. It also directs the water that is leaking into the basement into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a sub-floor piping System that is installed along the foundation wall. WaterGuard is used to intercept the water that seeps into the basement unseen by the homeowner. The water is then drained to a sump pump system to be removed from the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System was installed in this basement. The SuperSump, a 1/3 hp cast iron pump, includes the WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner, and an Airtight lid with an Airtight Floor Drain.
These products working together will keep the basement dry for the homeowner.
