WaterGuard helps to solve basement water problems in Dayton, Ohio
Challenge
A homeowner in Dayton, Ohio had water seeping in through the walls in his basement. The basement had a poured foundation and sump pump had not been installed. The water was seeping through the walls and had cracks that had been patched by the previous homeowner that was leaking again. He called the Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and scheduled a free estimate by one of our Certified Inspectors.
Solution
Our Certified Inspector, Chris, met with the homeowner and discovered that the water was seeping through the walls and the previous repair was no longer working. Chris recommended WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Pump System, UltraSump Battery Back-Up System, and BrightWall Paneling System to be installed to solve this problem.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system that is installed along the perimeter of your basement to intercept water that seeps in. The water is collected in the piping system and is drained unseen to the sump pump system.
The sump pump he recommended was the SuperSump Pump System along with an UltraSump Battery Back-Up System. The SuperSump Pump System includes a pump that can pump 2,650 gallons an hour, it resists clogging and can pump up to 1/2" solids! It also has a WaterWatch Alarm System that sounds an alarm, that sounds similar to a smoke detector if the water in the sump pump reaches the point that the pump should have come on. This will alert the homeowner to problems before damage occurs. It also has a SuperLiner and an Airtight Lid. The UltraSump Battery Back up system adds extra protection to your basement. The Ultra Sump Battery Back-Up System will come on automatically if the primary pump does not come on. The sump pump will pump the water safely out of the basement.
The BrightWall Paneling System is a bright white sheet of plastic paneling that is permanently installed on your basement walls using special drilled-in fasteners. The paneling prevents water vapors from seeping into the basement and sends any water leaks down into the WaterGuard to be pumped out of the basement.
With these products working together, the homeowner will have comfort in knowing that the basement is safe from water intrusion.
