Sunhouse and WellDuct Window Systems Help in Cincinnati, OH
Challenge
A homeowner in Cincinnati was having water issues in several places in an unfinished basement and called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem. The basement had some horizontal cracks that leak when it rains hard and have been getting worse over the years. There was also a window well that was seeping water into the basement.
Solution
Steve met with the homeowner and recommended PowerBraces, a Sunhouse Basement Window Enclosure, WellDuct Window Drain, a SuperSump pump system, BrightWall Wall System and WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing Systems be installed.
PowerBraces are steel I-beams that are attached to the floor joists and the floor of the basement to permanently stabilize the wall.
Sunhouse Basement Window Enclosure will never rust or rot and has an enclosed bottom. It has a matching sturdy cover that lets in natural light while protecting the basement window.
The WellDuct Window Drain System is a window well installed on the inside wall and drains water that collects into the well down into the basement waterproofing system, WaterGuard.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed around the perimeter of your basement that collects the water and drains it into the sump pump system. The sump pump system recommended by the inspector was the SuperSump.
A SuperSump pump can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water an hour, has a WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner and Airtight Lid.
BrightWall Paneling System is 4x8 sheets of plastic paneling permanently attached to the walls. It gives the basement a semi-finished look, stops any water vapor from seeping into the basement and drains any leaks down into the WaterGuard.
With these great products installed and working together, the homeowner will be able to enjoy a dry basement.
