This basement was leaking water near the bottom of the walls, which you can see in the pictures. We repaired this problem by installing a system of waterproof products. This customer already had an interior perimeter system that they were happy with, but they wanted a new sump pump. The Super Pump was a great choice and great upgrade from their last system.
A homeowner had a crack in their poured basement wall that was leaking water, so they called us for help. The homeowner met with Donny, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that a FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
The FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is a patented system from Basement Systems. The FlexiSpan crack repair system starts with a bead of sealant. This is a typical method for fixing a leaking crack in a poured basement wall. The bead of sealant will slow the leak, if not completely stopping the wall from leaking.
Here is the difference from other systems: after applying a bead of sealant, the FlexiSpan Crack Repair System also includes two more steps. The reason that this is important is that as the house continues to settle, the leaking crack may open up a little more, allowing water to flow through again. These steps will ensure that the crack remains dry, even after minor settling. After the bead of sealant is applied, a FlexiSpan Foam Drain Strip is applied over the bead of sealant. This Foam Drain Strip will wick any water that gets through the bead of sealant and will drain it down into the WaterGuard basement waterproofing system or a decent size hole that is installed below, (which is the case here). The foam drain strip is then covered by a flexible sealant overlay. The flexible sealant overlay seals the complete repair, and can flex up to 3/4's of an inch.
This repair was also covered with BrightWall paneling. BrightWall panels can also be used to cover the basement walls to provide a semi-finished look, and also help to drain wall leaks down into the drainage system. Lastly, we cover the hole or drainage system with a layer of concrete, which is the wet concrete spot seen in the after picture.
This homes basement had leaks whenever it rained. Their pre existing system was not up to par because the drainage system clogged up and because the old sump pump was not strong enough to keep up with the rain. The customer wanted it done right this time, so they wisely chose us. We replaced their poor drainage with our patented WaterGuard system, which is designed not to clog ever. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump to replace their old one. Now whenever it rains, the customer can have a peace of mind knowing their new system will be able to keep up and not allow water to leak into their basement!
This basement had an old waterproofing system that was not working at all, allowing the basement to leak and grow mold. We repaired these problems by installing a system of waterproofing products. First we installed WaterGuard drainage all under the concrete surrounding the floor of the basements perimeter. This drainage leads to a Super Sump Plus sump pump. We also installed some PowerBraces to help hold up the foundation walls as well. No longer will there be pools of water in this basement.
This home had a basement with some dirty walls and a leaky foundation. We used BrightWalls for a cleaner look on the walls which the customer liked. We also installed WaterGuard drains, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
