Air Purifier Photo Album: Waterproof Walls and Floors Installed for Basement in Cincinnati, Ohio
This homeowner had a basement that was giving them troubles. It was cold and wet a lot of the time, and the homeowner just wanted to be able to play pool and do their laundry without having cold feet and having to breathe in musty air. We offered to install our waterproofing system as well as our waterproof floor and wall systems. The homeowner agreed to the contract, and we got started working on their basement in the next few weeks. We started by installing our waterproofing system consisting of our WaterGuard subfloor drains, our SuperSump sump system, and our UltraSump battery backup system. We then installed our BrightWall wall panels which will keep moisture out and help drain water to the subfloor drains. These walls are also pleasing to look at for the pool players. We then installed our ThermalDry Elite Planking floor system, which is moisture proof as well. The floor modules have pegs on them that allow them to sit up off the concrete floor, creating a thermal break and another layer of moisture protection. Lastly, we installed our Aspen Air Purifier, providing the homeowner with the best breathing air quality. If the pool players wanted to smoke a cigar while playing, the purifier will eliminate all the smoke! The result of this project was a happy homeowner who can now be proud of their basement!
New Flooring
These new floors and walls will keep the basement well insulated and looking clean. The floors are in the "gray" shade, and are almost identical to real wood panels.
Aspen Air Purifier
The box shaped purifier to the right of the picture was developed to be the best value air purifier in the world. We've personally heard stories that it can reverse allergy symptoms in a home!
Concealed Waterproofing System
Our subfloor drains are all around the perimeter of this basement tucked into the new BrightWall panels. The BrightWall panels are made of an inorganic material so they won't absorb moisture or grow mold. The sump pump to the left is equipped with a battery backup system, which will give the sump power in event of a power outage.
Old Basement
You can see the water stains on the floors and the walls of this once uncomfortable basement. These stains didn't just look bad, they smelled bad too.
New Walls and Drainage System
This picture was taken before we installed the new floors. The floors installed after this picture was taken have pegs that give space for water to move through and will direct water to the storm drain.
