Photo Album: WaterGuard, SuperSump and PowerBraces installed in Milford, OH
A Milford, Ohio homeowner had a 100-year-old basement with poured foundation walls that had cracks throughout it that were seeping water into the basement so they called The Basement Doctor to find a solution to this problem. Michael, a Certified Inspector, recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TrenchDrain, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System and PowerBraces are installed to resolve the problems that the homeowner was experiencing in the basement.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a patented piping system that is installed along the perimeter of the basement's foundation walls to intercept the water that is seeping in and drain it into a sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement. The TrenchDrain is similar to the WaterGuard, but is usually installed across doorways and hatches and has a grated top that allows the water to flow into it.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump and is used to pump water out of the basement. It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner, and an Airtight Lid.
PowerBraces are used to stabilize a basement wall that is cracking, bowing or tilting. A PowerBrace is a steel I-beam that is secured tightly against the wall and attached with brackets to the floor and floor joists. The PowerBrace immediately stabilizes the wall and has an adjustable bracket that can be tightened over time to potentially reverse the wall failure over time.
