Photo Album: SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System used to resolve water problems in Moscow, OH

A Homeowner in Moscow, Ohio has a home with a basement and a crawl space.  The basement is dry but there was water coming into the crawl space.  We installed a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, a CleanSpace Encapsulation System with CleanSpace Vent Covers, SmartJack Floor Supports, and a SaniDry Sedona Air System in a crawl space for a homeowner in Moscow, Ohio.  The SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage system is made especially for crawl spaces.  The SmartSump includes the WaterWatch Alarm, Airtight Lid with an Airtight Floor Drain.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound during a pump or power failure alerting the homeowner to a problem with the system.  The Airtight Lid is designed to fit tightly against the CleanSpace Liner and helps to keep water from evaporating back into the crawl space, keeps out odors and insects and helps to quiet the pump.  The UltraSump Battery Back-up is a pumping system that will run on battery power during a pump or power failure.  It comes with its own battery and charging station.  The CleanSpace Liner is a bright white 20-mil-thick plastic liner, similar to a pool liner.  The CleanSpace liner provides a vapor-proof barrier between the ground and the home.   CleanSpace Vent Covers also help to provide an airtight seal of the crawl space and also keep debris from entering the crawlspace. SmartJack Floor Supports are installed by compacting a structural stone in place on the floor.  A steel pier is cut to size and placed under the floor that needs support.  The adjustable screw is used to jack up the floor to a level position.  This can be adjusted in the future if needed.   The SaniDry Sedona is used to filter and dry the air.  It is important to control the amount of humidity that is in the home.  Too much humidity in the home encourages mold growth, musty odors and can make the house feel humid and uncomfortable.  The special filters on the SaniDry filter mold spores, dust mite droppings and other particles from the air.
