Photo Album: Sinking foundation resolved with Helical Pier System in Yellow Springs, OH

A home built in 2008 was having problems with cracks in the walls, a broken window, and the foundation sinking in Yellow Springs, Ohio.  The homeowner met with Chris, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that the Helical Pier System is installed to resolve the foundation problems. The Helical Pier System is used to permanently stabilize the foundation and has the potential to lift the foundation back to a level position.  The Helical Pier is mechanically screwed into the soil until it reaches competent soil or bedrock.  A bracket is attached to the pier and to the home's foundation footer.  The weight of the home is then transferred from the unstable soil to the competent soil stabilizing the home.   The Helical Pier System will give the homeowner peace of mind and restore the property value of the home.
