Photo Album: CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation in Arcanum, OH

We installed a CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System for a homeowner in Arcanum, Ohio.  The homeowner met with Chris, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that CleanSpace, SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System with an UltraSump battery Back-up Pump, CleanSpace Vent Covers, and a SaniDry Sedona is installed into the crawl space. The CleanSpace liner is a plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is installed on the walls and the floor of the crawl space to provide mold and a vapor-proof barrier between the ground and the home.  CleanSpace Vent Covers are installed to help provide an airtight seal and to keep debris from entering into the crawl space.  The SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System has a WaterWatch Alarm that will sound during a pump or power failure to alert the homeowner to a problem with the system.  If there would be water leaking into the crawl space from plumbing the water would drain into the airtight floor drain but it would not be able to get back into the crawl space area.  This will also sound an alarm to alert the homeowner.  This is a valuable feature to have because most homeowners do not venture into the crawl space often if ever, to know that there is a problem in there.  The Airtight Lid will form a tight seal around the clean space and keep water from evaporating back into the crawlspace, keeps things from falling into the liner, and keeps out insects and odors.    The UltraSump Battery Back-up System will automatically start up during a pump or power failure and run on battery power.  It comes with its own battery and charging station. The SaniDry is used to dry and filter the air.  Maintaining the proper humidity level is important in the crawl space as well as in the living space.  The crawl space is part of the home so whatever is in the crawl space also is in the living space.  Too much moisture makes the environment uncomfortable and humid and encourages musty odors and mold growth.  The special filters on the SaniDry filter mold spores, dust mite droppings and other particulates in the air.  This makes the home healthier, more comfortable and can possibly help those with allergies to these particles.  A healthy crawl space helps the homeowner to have a healthier home.
