Photo Album: Waterproofing, BrightWall and PowerBraces installed in Cincinnati, OH

A home that was built in the 1980s with a block foundation, was experiencing water seeping into the basement from under the walls.  A sump pump had not been installed.  The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem.  The homeowner met with Mark, a certified inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, BrightWall Paneling System, and PowerBrace System. The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is our patented piping system that is installed under the floor of the foundation wall to intercept water that is seeping into the basement.  The Water is then drained into a sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement. The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump.  The SuperSump can pump up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour out of the basement.  The SuperSump also includes the WaterWatch Alarm that will sound if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on or if there is a power failure.  This alerts the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved before damage occurs.  The heavy-duty SuperLiner will not cave in or crack.  The Airtight Lid will keep water from evaporating back into the basement, keep things from falling into the liner, keep out odors and insects, and help to quiet the pump.  The UltraSump is a battery back-up system that will automatically turn on and run on battery power during a power outage.  It comes with its own battery pack and charging station. BrightWall Paneling System is sheets of white plastic paneling that is permanently attached to the walls with special drilled in fasteners.  The BrightWall covers the walls like traditional paneling but this also drains wall leaks down into the WaterGuard and will keep water from permeating into the living space. The PowerBrace System immediately and permanently stabilizes basement foundation walls.  The PowerBrace is a steel I-beam that is secured tightly against the foundation walls with brackets that are attached to the floor and floor joists.
