Photo Album: Cracks in a basement wall resolved in Dayton, OH
A Dayton Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement through cracks in the basement foundation walls. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and met with Jeff, a Certified Inspector, to find a solution to this problem.
Jeff recommended WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, along with CrackCovers and a TripleSafe Sump Pump System.
WaterGuard Waterproofing System is a patented subfloor piping system used to intercept water that seeps into the basement. The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System collects and then drains the water into a sump pump system so that it can be pumped out of the basement to keep the basement dry.
The sump pump system that Jeff recommended for this project is the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. As the name suggests, the TripleSafe is a 3 pump system. Pump 1 is a 1/3 hp pump that will do the pumping the majority of the time. If this pump would fail or become overwhelmed with a high volume of water, Pump 2 will start up and give Pump 1 a "turbo boost". These two pumps working together can pump up to 6,250 gallons of water per hour out of the basement. Pump 3 is the UltraSump Battery Back-up Pumping System. The UltraSump will turn on during a power failure and pump using battery power. It comes with its own battery and charging station.
The BrightWall Crack Cover is a piece of plastic paneling that is permanently attached to the basement walls to cover the wall and also drain wall leaks down into the WaterGuard to be pumped out of the basement. Bright Wall Panels can also be used to cover the basement walls to give the basement a semi-finished look. Schedule an appointment with a Certified Inspector for more information on how these products can give you a dry basement for life.

BrightWall Crack Covers.
The BrightWall Crack Covers drain the water that is seeping in through the walls down into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System that has been installed into the floor around the foundation walls. It is finished with a layer of cement leaving only a small wall flange exposed.
