Photo Album: Super, UltraSumps used to resolve water in Cincinnati, OH
A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement. The house was built in the 1940s and no sump pump had been installed. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and met with Mark, a Certified Inspector, to find a solution to this problem. Mark recommended that the homeowner have WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TrenchDrain, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System along with an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, and BrightWall Panels installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a piping system installed into the floor around the perimeter of the basement. The TrenchDrain is usually installed across doorways and hatches and has a grated top that allows water to drain in from the top. The piping systems will intercept the water that is seeping in and drain it into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump. It includes the WaterWatch Alarm which sounds during a pump or power failure. This alerts the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved. The SuperLiner is a heavy-duty liner that will not cave in or crack. An Airtight Lid keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, keeps objects from falling into the liner and helps to quiet the pump. The UltraSump Battery Back-up System will automatically turn on during a primary pump or power failure. It comes with its own battery pack and charging station.
BrightWall Panels are sheets of plastic paneling that are used to cover walls and also drain wall leaks down into the drainage system. The Bright white color of the BrightWall really brightens up the basement, giving it a semi-finished look.
