A homeowner in West Harrison, Indiana was having problems with water seeping into the basement at the base of the wall. The homeowner met with Steve, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, along with a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System and an Ultra Sump Battery Back-up System is installed to resolve this problem that the homeowner was having in the basement.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a perimeter piping system installed along the foundation walls. The WaterGuard is installed to intercept the water that is seeping into the basement and drain it into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end Zoeller cast iron pump. It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, the SuperLiner, and the Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if water reaches the point that the sump should have come on or if there is a power failure. This will alert the homeowner to a problem with the system that needs to be resolved. The SuperLiner is a heavy-duty liner that will not cave in or crack. The Airtight Lids keeps objects from falling into the liner, keeps water from evaporating back into the basement, and helps to quiet the pump. The UltraSump Battery Back-up System is a battery operated pump that automatically turns on during a pump or power failure. It comes with its own power back and charging station.
With these systems installed, the homeowner will have peace of mind knowing they will have a dry basement that can be used for storage or extra living space without worries of water intrusion.
