A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement and called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to find solutions to his problem. The homeowner met with Walt, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and BrightWall Paneling System to resolve the problems the homeowner was having in the basement.
WaterGuard is our patented perimeter piping system that is installed in the floor along the foundation walls. A small trench is dug into the floor for the system to be installed. It is finished with a layer of cement, leaving only a small wall flange exposed. The basement can then be finished to make it a more usable space without having to worry about water intrusion.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System is a three pump system. Pump 1 is the primary pump that will do the majority of the pumping. Pump 2 is a high-volume pump. If pump 1 fails or becomes overwhelmed with a heavy water volume, pump 2 will start up. Both pumps working together can pump up to 6,200 gallons of water per hour out of the basement. Pump 3 is the UltraSump Battery Back-up Pump that will automatically turn on during a power outage and will run on battery power. It comes with a maintenance free battery and charging station.
The BrightWall Paneling System is a bright white plastic paneling that is attached with special fasteners. The BrightWall covers unattractive walls and also drains water leaks down into the WaterGuard. The bright white color really brightens up the basement and gives it a semi-finished look.
