Photo Album: WaterGuard, SuperSump and BrightWall installed to resolve water in Dayton, OH.
A Dayton, Ohio homeowner was having problems with water seeping into the basement. The homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati and met with Chris, one of our Certified inspectors, to discuss solutions to resolve this problem. Chris recommended that the homeowner have WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, and BrightWall Paneling System installed.
WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a perimeter piping system installed in the floor around the foundation walls. The piping system intercepts the water that is seeping into the basement, then pumps it out of the basement through the sump pump.
The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump with a mechanical float switch. It also includes the WaterWatch Alarm, the SuperLiner, and Airtight Lid. The WaterWatch alarm will sound if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on. This will alert the homeowner to a problem that needs to be resolved before damage can occur. The SuperLiner is a rugged liner that will not cave in or crack. The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keeps out bugs, odors, keeps objects from falling into the liner and quiets the pump.
BrightWall Paneling System is 4x8 sheets of plastic paneling that is permanently installed using special fasteners. The BrightWall Panel will be tucked into the WaterGuard at the bottom to drain any wall leaks into the WaterGuard to be pumped out of the basement. The BrightWall panels are made of bright white plastic and can be used to cover basement walls to give the basement a semi-finished look.
