Photo Album: CleanSpace Wall System, WaterGuard, SuperSump and PowerBraces used to resolve water intrusion in Cincinnati, OH

A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner was having problems with a crack in the wall of a semi-finished basement.  The homeowner was also noticing a musty odor in the basement.  They called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for a solution to this problem.  The homeowner met with Roger, one of our Certified Inspectors, who recommended that a CleanSpace Wall System, WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System and PowerBrace System is installed to resolve the problems the homeowner is having in the basement. The CleanSpace Wall System is the most economical of our wall systems.  CleanSpace is a bright white plastic liner, similar to a pool liner, that is attached to the walls with special drilled-in fasteners.  The CleanSpace covers the walls, provides a vapor-proof barrier between the wall and the living area, and also will drain wall leaks down into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System. The WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is our patented piping system that is installed in the floor along the foundation walls to intercept water that seeps into the basement.  The water is then drained, unseen, into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement.  The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System is a high-end Zoeller 1/3 hp cast iron pump.  It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, SuperLiner and Airtight Lid.  The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on or if there is a power failure.  This alerts the homeowner to a problem with that system to be resolved before damage occurs.  The SuperLiner is a rugged, heavy-duty liner that will not cave in or crack.  The Airtight Lid is so strong you can stand on it or store things on top of it.  The Airtight lid keeps things from falling into the liner, keeps out insects and odors and quiets the pump. The PowerBrace System is a  zinc-plated beam that is secured tightly against the wall and anchored with brackets secured to the floor and floor joists.  It has an adjustable bracket that can be tightened over time to potentially reverse wall failure.  The PowerBraces will immediately stabilize the wall from further movement. With the walls stabilized, and the WaterGuard, SuperSump, and CleanSpace working together to intercept and drain the water out of the basement.  The homeowner will be able to refinish the basement without worries of water intrusion.
