Photo Album: BrightWall Paneling System is used to help resolve leaking wall cracks in Cincinnati, OH

A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati for help to resolve problems they were having with basement wall cracks that were leaking water into the basement.  The home was built in the 1970s with a poured foundation and a sump pump had been installed already in the basement.  The homeowner met with Steve, a Certified Inspector, who recommended that WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System along with an UltraSump Battery Back-up Sump and BrightWall Paneling System is installed to resolve this problem for the homeowner. The BrightWall Paneling System is 4x8 sheets of plastic paneling that is permanently attached with drilled-in fasteners to the basement walls.  BrightWall Panels not only cover the basement walls but they also drain water leaks down into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System. WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System is a patented piping system that is installed along the foundation walls to intercept the water that is seeping into the basement.  This piping system then drains the water to the sump pump system unseen by the homeowner.  The water is then drained into the sump pump system to be pumped out of the basement. The sump pump system that Steve recommended is the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.  The SuperSump is a high-end 1/2 hp Zoeller cast iron pump and includes the WaterWatch Alarm, the SuperLiner, and Airtight Lid.   The WaterWatch Alarm will sound if the water reaches the point that the pump should have turned on.  This will alert the homeowner of an issue with the system to be resolved before damage can occur.  The SuperLiner has 96 holes in the liner to allow water to flow in from under the floor.  The Airtight Lid keeps moisture from evaporating back into the basement, keeps out odors and bugs and quiets the pump.  The UltraSump Battery Back-up System is optional but highly recommended.  The UltraSump will automatically start up during a pump or power failure and run on battery power.  This will give the homeowner added protection of having a pump available at all times.   The BrightWall Panels really brighten up the basement and give it a semi-finished look.  They are washable and durable.  The WaterGuard and SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System working together to make this basement dry so that the homeowner will now have a more usable space to use for storage of extra living space.
