Photo Album: Why is FlexiSpan a permanent crack repair solution?
Many homeowners struggle with water seeping into the basement through cracks in the foundation walls. Many times these cracks are filled with some type of sealant only to have the crack to re-open and once again the homeowner is faced with finding a new solution. This re-opening is sometimes caused by soil expansion and contraction during hot and cold weather temperatures. Once the crack re-opens and breaks the seal, the water begins to seep in again and the cycle continues causing frustration and possible damage to the walls and items stored in the basement.
Our patented FlexiSpan Crack Repair System is different! The FlexiSpan Crack Repair System offers three layers of protection. Let us show you how this system is installed....
First, a bead of sealant is applied to the crack. This will seal the crack and will slow down if not completely stop the leakage. Any water that seeps through this layer at all would be less than 5% of the original seepage.
Here is where our method is different from the rest....a second layer, a FlexiSpan Foam Drain Strip is placed over the sealant. If any water seeps through the sealant the foam drain strip will direct the water down into the drainage below as you can see in the picture.
Lastly, a sealant overlay is placed over the Foam Drain Strip creating a sealed patch from top to bottom. This makes this solution a permanent crack repair that works every time.
