Photo Album: CleanSpace Encapsualtion System in Cincinnati, OH

A Cincinnati, Ohio homeowner called The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati to have his crawl space encapsulated.  He met with Austin, a Certified Inspector, who recommended CleanSpace Encapsulation System with Drainage Matting, CleanSpace Vent Covers, A SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System, SilverGlo and RimTight Rim Joist Insulation and a SaniDry are installed. CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a white liner, similar to a pool liner that is installed using special fasteners.   Drainage Matting is installed under the CleanSpace liner to provide a channel for groundwater to drain into the SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System.  The SmartSump is made just for crawl spaces.  One great feature of this system is the WaterWatch alarm.  If there would ever be a plumbing leak in the crawl space a special pocket on the lid would fill up first and sound the WaterWatch Alarm.  This is a great feature to have in a crawl space because most homeowners don't venture into the crawl space that often and may not ever know that the leak is happening until there is a lot of water and possibly a high water bill! RimTight Rim Joist Insulation and SilverGlo Crawl Space Insulation are both crawl space insulation.  A rim joist is the board above the foundation at the perimeter of your home.  This can leak unconditioned air and cause condensation and humidity.  SilverGlo Insulation is polystyrene insulation infused with graphite to resist heat flow. A SaniDry Air System is a dehumidifier and filtration system.  This will prevent humidity in the crawl space to prevent mold, mildew and musty smells in the crawl space.  Having a healthier environment in your crawl space will help you to have a healthier home.
