Identifying Structural Issues in Your Home

Foundation Settlement

No amount of foundation settlement is ever normal or good - and it will only get worse over time. But how can you know if your foundation is settling? If your doors and windows are sticking or your walls have started cracking - it is time to have your foundation evaluated.

The following can be signs of foundation settlement in your home:

Sagging Floors

Sloping and sagging first-level floors can be a sign of structural issues in your crawl space or basement. If you are noticing uneven, sloping, or sagging floors in your home - you may have structural issues that need to be addressed.

Sagging floors are a sign of foundation issues.

Keep an eye out for the following signs of sagging floors: 

  • Sticking doors
  • Gaps between the floor and wall

Wall Failure
