Xenia Home Fitted with Egress Window and RockWell Window Well
Challenge
This basement in Xenia, Ohio was pretty standard and bare. The homeowners had recently become concerned about the lack of windows in the basement. They wanted to know that if there was an emergency, their family would be able to safely and easily escape the basement. Our team had the perfect solution for their family.
Solution
First, our team dug a trench along the side of the home against the foundation. Once space was cleared, we cut and installed a new egress window into the slot.
We then installed a RockWell window well. This is a window well inspired by nature so as to provide an attractive view out of the egress window while still creating peace of mind and maximum durability. Once the RockWell was installed, we also fitted it with a lid. This should help prevent debris from falling into the well - keeping it clear in the event of an emergency.
This system of products should create a safe pathway of escape out of the basement in an emergency, while still providing an attractive window and outdoor view from the basement.
